Ellmer were commissioned to construct and fit out a new, 47,000 sq ft, west wing extension to the existing live and fully operational, five-star Hotel.
Built over a three-level secant piled basement, excavated to a depth of approximately 12.5m below road level, the extension accommodates a swimming pool, health spa, fitness suite, banqueting suites, conference facilities plus new back of house service areas.
The reinforced concrete-framed extension, over nine floors, increased the capacity of the hotel by 50%, affording an additional 33 suites
