Ellmer completed several package works as part of the £75 million modernisation and improvement project that was carried out by the Rugby Football Union ahead of the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

Hospitality Boxes:
The project comprised the refurbishment to many of the hospitality boxes and associated corridors, lift lobbies and WC’s throughout the West, North and East stands.

West Stand Hospitality:
The refurbishment of the West Stand facilities at Levels 1, 2 and 3. Both the West Stand and hospitality boxes works were inclusive of new M&E services.

West Stand Glazing:
Ellmer completed the replacement façade glazing to the West Stand Presidents Suite, in time for the 2013 Autumn Internationals.

 

Modernisation and improvement project carried out ahead of the Rugby World Cup 2015

The project comprised of Hospitality Boxes, West Stand Hospitality and West Stand Glazing

Works included the removal of the existing facade cladding and replacement with new full height fire resistant structural glazing and automatic opening entrance doors to the Presidents Suite, RBS Box and the Member Bar area, which also included and extension to the bar space and an increase in the quantity of facade glazing. Substantial high level structural works were installed to support the glazing, and the internal floor, wall and ceiling finishes were removed to accommodate the works, and reinstated to match their original details and finish.
