Byrne Group Family Fun Day

The Group family event was held on the 20th June at the Richmond Athletic Association club on what turned out to be a beautiful sunny day, with a BBQ, Pimms, and lots of family, friends and laughter.

With the start of the 2015 Rugby World Cup only a few months away and the home of English Rugby just around the corner, the day had a distinct rugby theme.

The activities included a 'bucking ball' ride, games to test the speed and accuracy of your "pass", with the main attraction being an inflatable rugby pitch. Despite being aimed at the children, the games were also a huge hit with the adults, with competition becoming intense.

One of the rugby 7s games on the inflatable pitch started off with two strong teams, and was set to be an excellent and exciting game (albeit with too much tackling - Iain Cowan!) until the pitch was deflated when someone put their foot through it, hence swiftly ending the game. There is still much speculation as to who the culprit was, but there are a few suspects!
