After leaving school I enrolled on an all trades and construction management course in college. I found the management aspect side more interesting and wanted to explore that area of construction further. I have always had an interest in design and building from scratch including redevelopment. Seeing something develop over a period of time to become a finished article has always intrigued me.

I joined the company two years ago after leaving college ,and I am currently going into the second year of my Construction Management HNC at The College of North West London, sponsored by the Company. I am enjoying the course albeit there is a lot of coursework, which is keeping me very busy.

Whilst at Bedfordbury I am responsible for the snagging and finishing side of the project including steelworks and brickwork. Over the next couple of years I hope to develop my leadership and management skills with a longer term view of becoming a Construction Manager and later a project Manager when I have gained more experience.

I like the fact that everyone is made to feel welcome from the first day. Everyone is friendly and willing to assist you when you need help. I would like to move into the re-development of high end residential properties although I understand that I may sometimes work on commercial projects as well.

If I was boss for the day I would ensure that everyone understands the task they are carrying out, including upholding the correct health and safety procedures.
